A bike accelerates from rest and reaches to 40 km/h in 10s. Calculate 1) Acceleration 2) distance covered by bike In that time.

u = 0, v = 40km/hr => 40×5/18 = 100/9 m / sec

t = 10 sec

to find acceleration and distance covered

v = u + at

100/9 = 0 + a×10

a = 100/(9*10)

a = 10/9 = 1.11 m/sec²

s = ut + 1/2 a t²

s = 0 + 1/2*10/9*10²

s = 1/2*10/9*100

s = 500/9

s = 55.56 m
