Here initial velocity of car is given that is u=22.4 m/s

And time taken by the car to stop is given t=2.55 sec

We have to calculate distance

first we have to use retardation

V=u+at

Final velocity will be zero

0=22.5+a×2.55

a=−10m/sec²

Negative sign shows retardation

For distance calculation we have to use another formula which is given below

V²=u²2as

0=22.52+2×(−10)×s

20s=22.52

After solving we get the value of S

S=25.31metre
