A bike`s wheels have a diameter of 70 cm. How many times will the wheel revolve during a journey of 50 km?

Answer:

Circumference of a circle, the entire external length of the circle(the wheel)

=π x d, where π =3.142 and d is the diameter

In this case, the diameter = 70cm, now we need to convert to metres to keep all units consistent(with the distance of 110m)

so the diameter=70/100=0.7m

Circumference in this case, using above formula=3.142x 0.7=2.2m

For a distance of 110m, the revolutions would be 110/2.2=50

Answer= 50 revs
