First of all what we know is that:-
v1=30km/h
v2=20km/h
let time be x
so distance = velocity × time
s1= 30km/h × x
=30x

s2=20km/h × x
=20x
So, average speed = total distance /total time
=30x+20x/x+x
=50x/2x
=25 km/hr
average velocity will be zero
since, he has returned to his place back I.e. it's displacement is zero then 0/2x=0
