Harry Boniface Prabhu is a Padma Shree awardee Indian quadriplegic wheelchair left-handed tennis player, one of the pioneers of the sport in India and a medical winner at 1998 World Championships. He was born as a normal child on 14 May 1972 at Banglore in Karnataka. When he was four, he was made a quadriplegic for the rest of his life when a sample from his lower spine was taken for a diagnostic test. He was brought up by his parents as a normal child and he went to a normal school which helped him develop competitive spirit and face challenges when he grew up. He founded Boniface Prabhu Wheelchair Tennis Academy based in Banglore to promote physically and intellectually challenged people and providing them opportunities to nurture their talents. It provides free training to differently able people.

He is the only quadriplegic athlete to drive 3,500 km from Kashmir to Kanyakumari for a cause. He represented India at International events in six disciplines over fifty times. These include athletics shop put, badminton, javelin throw, table tennis, shooting, and discus throw apart from wheelchair tennis. At 1996 World Wheelchair Games, the UK he won a gold medal in shot put and a silver medal in the discus throw. He is the first Indian to win a medal in the International Paralympic Games.
