He worked as a journalist and you also protested against British Raj you also supported the ideas of Gandhiji and was enthusiastic supporter of Gandhiji. He wrote many books like India Wins freedom ,Ghubar-e-khatir etc. he was the first Education Minister of independent India his birthday is celebrated as national education day the great supporter of Gandhiji, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad died on 22 February 1958.
