Ruskin Bond is an Indian author of British descent.He was born on May 19,1934.He lives with his adopted family in Landour, Mussoorie, India. He prolifically authored inspiring children's books and was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award to honor his work of literature.The Indian Council for Child Education has recognised his role in the growth of children's literature in India.
