Solution : According to given data,

⟹ speed of bird = 6 m/s

⟹ covered distance by bird = 48 km

Now, we need to convert 48 km into metres,

Here, we know 1 km = 1000 m

Hence, 48 km = 48000 m

Now, by formula of speed

⟹ speed = distance/time

⟹ 6 = 48000/time

⟹ time = 48000/6

⟹ time = 8000 sec

Here, we one 60 sec = 1 minute and 3600 sec = 1 hour.

Hence,

⟹ 8000 sec = 8000/60 = 400/3 = 133.33 minutes

similarly,

⟹ 8000 sec = 8000/3600 = 30/9 = 2.22 hours

Answer : Time taken by bird to cover 48 km distance in hours and minutes are 2.22 hours and 133.33 minutes respectively.
