a bird sitting on a naked electric wire does not get electric shock.why?

when birds are standing on a electric wire with both feet, they do get electric shock in the nano volt range so they don't feel anything..

the mass of bird is very less and they stand on both feet they get electric shock in the nano volt range but nothing will happen to them
