A bird sitting on the top of a tree, which is 100m high. the angle of elevation of the bird, from the point on the ground is 45. the bird flies away from the point of observation horizantally and remains at a constant height. after 10seconds, the angle of elevation of the bird from the point of observation becomes 30. find the sped of the flying bird

let the distance the bird flies be y m

and initially it is at x m from foot of the tree

h=100m

case 1

tan 45 =h/x

1=100/x

x=100

case 2

tan 30=h/(y+x)

1/√3=100/(y+100)

(y+100) =100x√3

y+100=100x1.732

y+100=173.2

y=173.2-100

y=73.2
