A bird watcher sets up a night camp near a lake surrounded by trees. He is interested in finding out about bird species that are 'nocturnal'.
Nocturnal birds are birds that are mainly active at night. But he has no special instrument to see things in the dark.
What would be a clear indication to the bird watcher that he should investigate if there are nocturnal species in the area?

A)sighting of crows on a few trees before 6 PM

B)bird calls recorded at regular intervals from 6 PM to 6 AM

C)detection of nocturnal animals like rats from 6 PM to 6 AM

D)number of bird nests found using flashlights between 6 PM to 6 AM

C. is your answer

Explination

If he sees rats and they suddenly disepear there is a good chance that there is a nocturnal bird around that is scooping them up.

The rats can simply dissapear but there will be a trace and footprints but if you see a small slide where the rat was a nocturnal animal took it
