a black hole is an object whose gravitational field is so strong that even light can not escape from it . To approximate radius would earth have to be compressed to be a black hole?

About the size of a Mosquito. You can calculate it by the Schwarzschild Equation.

What I think is earth can never become black hole as acc.to chandrashekhar ...anything which has 1.5 times the mass of our sun can be a black hole....this is called chandrashekhar limit

KunalDhawan123: It can if you compress it to the size of a mosquito. Chandrasekhar's Limit was for objects whose expanding and contracting rates are known. Even a human can become a black hole if we compress it down to the size of a Neutrino.
