Solution :

Let the Original price of

the blanket = Rs x

discount (d) = 20%

Selling price (s.p) = Rs 432

Original price

= ( s.p × 100 )/( 100 - d )

= ( 432 × 100 )/( 100 - 20 )

= ( 432 × 100 )/80

= 54 × 10

= Rs 540

Therefore ,

Original price of the

blanket = Rs 540

let \: the \: oriinal \: prive \: of \: a \: blanke \: be \: x \: \\  therefore \: discount \:  =  \: x \times 20 \div 100 \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 20x  \div 100 \\  \\  \\ orignal \: price \:  = discouted \: prive \:  + discount \:  \\  x =  432 +  \frac{20x}{100}  \\ x =  \frac{43200 + 20x}{100}  \\ 100x = 43200 + 20x \\ 100x - 20x = 43200 \\ 80x = 43200 \\ x =  \frac{43200}{80}  \\ x = 5400 \\ therefore  \: the \: original \: price \: of \: the \: blanket \: is \: rupees \: 5400
