A blind person after walking 10 steps in one direction 80 cm rach turns randomly to left by 90 degree, after walking a total of 40 steps the maximum displacemnt of the person from his starting position could be?

Distance walked by the person = 10 steps * 80 cm = 800 cm
Distance walked in the perpendicular direction = 40  * 80 cm = 320 cm

The final displacement of the person from starting position = diagonal of the right angle triangle traced by the person.

So magnitude of the displacement = √[800² + 320²] = 160√29 cm
