A block is placed on a rough horizontal surface.
A horizontal force is applied to move the block.
Then force required for pulling is same as that required
for pushing. why?

This is because pulling and pushing forces both are  applied on the same block just the direction is different.

If the force is constant for both push and pull , it is obvious that they will be equal.

Moreover the frictional force will also be the same.
