Pressure = Force / Area
= mg / A
= (1 kg × 9.8 m/s²) / (0.1 m × 0.1 m)
= 980 pascals

∴ Pressure acting on the table by block is 980 pascals

[Note: If g = 10 m/s² then pressure will be 1 kilo pascals]

Area of the surface = 10cm × 10cm = 100cm²

100cm² into m² = 100/100×100 = 0.01m²

F = mg

(The exact value of g is 9.8 but for the easy calculation we take g as 10 which is approximate value)

Taking g as 9.8 -

F = 1× 9.8

F = 9.8

Now,

Pressure = Fore / Area

P = 9.8 / 0.01 = 980 Pa

Taking g as 10 -

F = 1 × 10

F = 10

Now,

Pressure = Force / Area

P = 10 / 0.01 = 1000Pa
