A block moving with speed of 20 m/s comes to rest after 4 sec. If mass of block is 2 kg. Find resistive force acting on the block.​

given, u = 20m/sec, t = 4 sec, m = 2 kg , v = 0

to find retarding force

f = m×a

we know mass but we have to find the acceleration

a = (v - u)/t

=> (0 - 20)/4

=> -5 m/sec^2

therefore retarding force f = 2 × (-5)

=> hence f = -10 N
