A block of 100 kg is placed on rough horizontal surface whose coefficient of friction is 0.5. If a horizontal force of 100N is applied on it, then the acceleration of the block will be (g = 10 ms⁻²)

100- .5*100*10 = 100*a

100 - 500 = -400

Since the frictional Force is greater than the applied Force, the block will no move. Hence it will have 0 acceleration
