Solution:

  • Now we have given the mass of the iron block as 7.5 kg.
  • Now we know that Thrust = Force
  • We also know that force = mg, so:

                thrust = mg

                thrust = 7.5 × 10

                thrust = 75 N

  • Now we have given the dimensions as  12 cm x 8 cm x 10 cm.
  • Area of the surface of iron block kept on the table

                = 12 × 8 = 96 cm²

                = 0.0096 m²

  • Now we know the formula:

                Pressure = Thrust / Area

                Putting values in it, we get:

                Pressure = 75 / 0.0096

                Pressure = 7812.5 Pa

Answer:

            So the thrust is 75 N and pressure is 7812.5 Pa.
