Work done by the block is 2.45J.

We know that,

Work done (W) = F × x × cos θ

where F is the Force,

x is the displacement

and θ is the angle between force and displacement.

We know, Force = Mass × Acc. due to gravity

Mass of the block = 1kg

Acc. due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²

So, force = (1 × 9.8)N = 9.8N

Also, displacement (x) = 50cm = 0.5m                           [1cm = 0.01m]

θ = (90° - 30°) = 60°                                [Angle in a right angled traingle = 90°]

Putting their respective values, we get:

W = 9.8 × 0.5 × cos 60°

   = 2.45 N-m

   = 2.45J                                                 [1 N-m = 1J]
