Given!

a block of mass 120g moves with a speed of 6.0m/s on a frictionless horizontal surface towards another block of mass 180kg kept at rest . They collide and the first block stops.

Data:

v1=velocity 1=6m/s

law of conservation of momentum

m1=120g

m2=180kg

180kg--->xg

180kg*1000=180000g

m2=180000g

m1*v1=m2*v2

120*6=180000*v2

0.004=v2

or v2=0.004 m/s
