A block of mass 30 kg is pulled up by a rope as shown in the figure with a constant speed

by applying a force of 200 N parallel to the slope. A and B are the initial and the final

positions of the block. Calculate the work done by the force in moving the block from A

to B.​

Work is said to be done when a force is applied on a body and the body undergoes displacement. Work is product of force and displacement and it is measure in Joules (J).

Now it is given that :-

  • Mass of block = 30kg
  • Force applied = 200N
  • Work done = ?

Now in the diagram we can see that the displacement of block is 3m.

Now the work done in moving the block will be :

w = 200 \times 3 = 600j

Therefore the work done is 600J.
