Given,

m = 5 kg

rate of water (dm/dt) = 2 kg/sec

We know that,

 F = v \frac{dm}{dt} \\ \\  F = 6 \times 2  \\ \\ F = 12 N<br /><br />\textbf{According  to newton's second  law}   \\ \\ F = ma \\ 12 = 5 \times a \\ \\ a =2.4 \ m\sec^{2}
