Hello mate,
the mass of the block =5 kg
It's in rest so, it's initial velocity will be 0 m/s
and it is given it's final velocity is 2m
Time=4 seconds
Now, it's acceleration=final velocity -initial velocity/time=2m/s-0m/s/4=2m/s/4s=0.5m/s ^2
Now, Force=mass *acceleration=5 kg*0.5 m/s ^2
=2.5 Newtons..
