 \mathfrak{ \huge{ \red{ \underline{ \underline{ANSWER}}}}}

  • Given :

=> block of 5 kg is lying on rough horizontal surface.

=> co-efficient of static and kinetic friction are respectively 0.3 and 0.1

=> gravitational acceleration = 10m/s^2

  • To Find :

=> The frictional force acting on the block

  • Concept :

=> Block is at rest position so only static friction will act

=> Normal reaction = weight force

  • Formula :

=> formula of static friction is given by

 \boxed{ \sf{ \pink{f =  (\mu)s \times n =  (\mu) \times mg}}}

  • Formula :

=> f = 0.3×5×10 = 15N

=> f = 15 N
