a block of mass m is placed on another block of mass M which itself is lying on a horizontal surface. The coefficient of friction between 2 blocks is mu1 and between the block od mass M and horizontal surface is mu2. What si the maximun horizontal force can be applied to lower block so that the 2 blocks move with out separation?

At rest the velocity is equal to zero and that means that the body experiences no acceleration.

Force = ma

That is the normal force acting on this body is :

Mass × acceleration due to gravity

The force on the object is :

m×10 = 10m

Frictional force = Normal force × coefficient of friction

= 10m × ω = 10ωm

To keep the object at rest the force should be equal to the Frictional force.

The force is thus (10ωm10m) N
