contact force between the block and plane is mg.

see figure, a block of mass m is stationary on a rough inclined plane making an angle θ with horizontal.

component of weight along plane = mgsinθ

component of weight perpendicular to plane = mgcosθ

so, contact force between the block and plane, N = mgsinθ i + mgcosθ j

magnitude of contact force , |N| = √{(mgsinθ)² + (mgcosθ)²}

= √{m²g²sin²θ + m²g²cos²θ}

= √{m²g²(sin²θ + cos²θ)}

= √{m²g² × 1}

= mg

hence, contact force between the block and plane is mg.
