Given :-

A block of mass 'm' is at rest on an inclined plane of angle Ø.

The total force exerted on the block is mg.

But, as it is inclined on angle Ø then it will have two components i.e. mg CosØ and mg SinØ.

Normal foce due to inclination = mg CosØ

For Frictional Force,

 \sum{F}_{x} = 0

mg SinØ + (-f) = 0

mg SinØ - f = 0

f = mg SinØ

Hence,

Frictional Force = f = mg SinØ.
