A block of Silver displaces 200ml of water in a measuring cylinder. If the density of Silver is 10300Kg m ^3, find the mass of the block?

  • Volume of block = Volume of water displaced

           → 200 ml

           → 200 cm³

           → 200 × 10⁻⁶ m³

          ↔ 1 ml = 1 cm³

To find

  • Mass of the block

Solution

  • Density = Mass ÷ Volume
  • Mass = Volume × Density
  • Mass = 200 × 10⁻⁶ × 10300
  • Mass = 2.06

Mass of the block = 2.06Kg
