Answer:-

 T_1 = 100 N \\ T_2 = 300 \sqrt{3}N \\ T_3 = 600 N

Given :-

A block of weight 100 N is suspended with the help of three strings.

To find :-

The tension force in the string.

Solution:-

Let the tension force in string 1 be T_1 and string 2 be T_2 and third string be T_3 .

  • The force acting on block by string 1 see in attachment.

  • Gravitational force downward.

 T_1 = mg

 T_1 = 100 N

  • Break the tension force of string 3 in components.

 T_3 Cos60^{\circ} = T_1

 T_3 \dfrac{1}{2}= 300

 T_3 = 600 N

 T_3 Sin60^{\circ} = T_2

 T_2 =600 \times  \dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{2}

 T_2 = 300 \sqrt{3}N

hence,

The tension force in string 1 is 100 N, string 2 is 300√3 N and string 3 is 600 N.

NoteYou can also solve it by components methods.
