Then the volume of the water is V m3. (half of 2V)
D=M/V
D(water)= M(w)/V(w)=
We know D(water) =1 kg/m3
Therefore
1 =2/V
V=2 m3
So Volume of the block of wood=2V= 4 m3
D(wood)=M(wood)/V(wood)
D=5/4=1.25 kg/m3 or 1250 g/cm3
