The upthrust on the wooden block will be 1.96 Newton.

Explanation :

Given the weight of the wood = 200 gm = 0.2 kg

=> weight expressed in newton = mg = 0.2 x 9.8 = 1.96 N

since the wooden block is floating on the water, So the net force acting on the wooden block is zero.

Hence the weight of the wooden block will be equal to the upthrust due to water.

=> upthrust = 1.96 N

Hence the upthrust on the wooden block will be 1.96 Newton.
