A block of wool measuring 5m long, 4m wide and 0.5 thick is placed on a table . find the pressure exerted on the table due to the block if the mass of the block is 4000kg​

Explanation:

pressure = Force / Area

In this case force will be the weight of block so

weight of block = m x g

= 4000 x 10. take g=10m/s^2

And area will considered for the surface which is touching table.

So Area of Block = 5 x 4 m^2

So pressure exerted on Table

= 40000/ (5x20)

= 400 N/m^2
