Answer:

Acceleration of the freely falling block is g while that of the block sliding down the smooth inclined plane is gsinΦ . As g > gsinΦ, so the block falling freely will reach the ground earlier

Answer:

freely fall block

Explanation:

For sliding block

m g sin θ = m a

a = g sin θ

When block fall freely

   m a = m g

it means that acceleration of the ball is g.

So above we can say that

             g > g sin θ

So we can say that freely falls block will strike earlier as compare to sliding block.

We know that final speed given as

V²=Vo²+ 2 a h

  Vo=0 m/s

When  sliding

V²= 2 x  g sin θ  x h           ( h =height ,same for both)

V=√(  2 x  g sin θ  x h)

When free fall

V²= 2 x  g   x h

V=√(  2 x  g  x h)

So the speed of the freely fall block will be more.
