Answer:

A block slides down an incline of angle 30∘ with an acceleration of g/4 Find the coefficient of kinetic friction . Solution : Here ,θ=30∘,a=g/4,μk=? μk=12√3√3√3=1.7326=0.289

Answer:

for that block equation of motion becomes

mg sin 30° - uk mg cos 30° = ma

where uk is cofficent of kinetic friction

since a = g/4

mg sin30° - uk mg cos 30 = m×g/4

where mg cancels

therefore

sin 30 - uk cos 30 = 1/4

1/2 - uk × √3/2 = 1/4

uk × √3/2= 1/4

uk= 1/2√3

uk= 0.2886
