We know that blue vitriol is CuSO4.5H2O.
When blue vitriol is heated, anhydrous copper sulphate is formed ,i.e,CuSO4 which is white in colour and water vapour is released. This is a reversible change and if again CuSO4 is treated with water it forms blue vitriol,i.e,CuSO4.5H2O
