A blue coloured salt of copper sulphate becomes white on heating. Give reason.

CuSO4 is white in colour.
when hydrous copper sulphate(CuSO4.5H2O),initially blue in colour
is heated, the water evaporates leaving behind anhydrous copper sulphate (CuSO4) that is white in colour.

When heat is applied to CuSO4.5H2O,the water is evaporated and we get CuSO4 which is white in colour.
