A blue rectangle is 3/4 unit long and 1/2 unit wide. What is the area?

You can then change the 1 & 1/4 from a mixed number to a regular fraction.

Plug both of these numbers in for your equation of A = LW

so,

Area = (5/4)(3/4)

multiplying those fractions together, you get 15/16 as your area.
