crests = 100m

v = 25m/s

So,

crest reach the boat,

= 100m / 25m/s

= 4 sec

Now we concluded that the crest reach the boat at 4 times in one second.....

THANK U....

I HOPE THIS ANSWER BE CORRECT......

We have been given the distance between the crests.

For the crests to reach the boat they must cover this distance.

The velocity of the crests is also given.

Since we have velocity and distance we can apply the formula relating velocity , time and displacement or Distance.

Velocity = Displacement / time

In our case :

Velocity = 25 m/s

Displacement = 100 m

Time = Displacement / Velocity

= 100/25 = 4

= 4 Seconds.

The crests reach the boat after every 4 seconds.
