A boat can be rowed with the stream at 15 km/h and against the stream at 12 km/h.Find the speed of the stream.(with statements)

down Stream speed, a=15, up stream speed, B=12
speed of Stream =1/2(a-b)
1/2(15-12)=3/2

In boat with stream (x+y)=15km/h
against stream (x-y)=12km/h
subtracting both equations and we get
2y=3km/h
=1.5km/h
speed of streamer is 1.5km/h
