A boat can travel 10.2km upstream in 51 minutes. If the speed of water current is 1/5th of speed of boat in still water, how much distance in km the boat can travel downstream in 48 minutes?

14.4 km.

If speed of the boat=x km/h,
then speed of the current=x/5 km/h and upstream speed=x-(x/5)=4x/5
As boat can travel 10.2 km upstream in 51 minutes,
so 10.2/(4x/5)=51/60 ,x=15
So speed of the current=x/5=15/5=3 km/h and downstream speed=15+3=18 km/h
Distance that boat can travel in 48 minutes or 4/5 hours =18*4/5=14.4 km
