Downstream ⇒ The Boat travels in the direction of the stream.

⇒ If the boat travels in direction of the stream, as the velocity of the stream is 5 km/hr, the stream pushes the boat with a speed of 5 km/hr, but the speed of boat in still water is 16 km/hr. so, the combined speed of the boat is (5 + 16) = 21 km/hr

⇒ the boat travels 21 km in one hour

⇒ the boat travels (21 × 4) km in (4 × 1) hours

⇒ the boat travels 84 km in 4 hours.

Heya Mate!!!

\pink{\huge{\underline{\star\: Solution \: \star}}}

Speed Downstream = ( 16 +5 ) = 21 kmph

Time = Distance/Speed = 84/21 = 4hours
