For downstream= d(v+v')8.......1

For upstream=d(v-v')12........2

For still water d=vt..........3

Solving 1 and 2 we get

3(v-v')=2(v+v')

Putting value of v in 1 and value get from 3

vt=(v+v/5)8

t=6x8/5=9.6hr
