A boat goes downstream from one place to another in 9 hours .It cover cover the same distance upstream in 11 hours.If the speed of stream 2km per hour,find tdistance between the two places?

Distance= Speed*Time
Speed of boat going downstream= (x+2)km/h
Speed of boat going upstream= (x-2)km/h
9(x+2)= 11(x-2)
9x+18= 11x-22
x= 20
Speed going downstream= (x+2)= 20+2= 22km/h
Speed going upstream= (x-2)= 20-2= 18km/h
Time taken going downstream= 9hrs
Distance= 18*9= 162km
ANS= 162km
