Time taken by boat to travel 160 miles = 10 Hours

Time taken by boat to travel 1 mile = 10/160 = 1/16 hour

Time taken by boat to travel 24 miles =
 \frac{1}{16}  \times 24 =  \frac{24}{16}
= 1.5 hour

The boat is travelling at a constant speed . so first we will find speed of boat . distance - 160miles and time -10hours.

SPEED- DISTANCE/TIME
SPEED- 160miles/10hours =16 miles/hour

To find the time taken to travel 24 miles
Distance-24miles , Speed - 16 miles/hour
We have taken speed -16miles/hour because the boat is travelling at a constant speed

TIME -DISTANCE/SPEED
TIME-24miles/ ( 16miles/hour)=3/2 hour
In minutes =3/2×60= 90minutes ( 1hour30minutes)= 1.5 hours
So the boat takes 1.5 hours to travel 24 miles
