Concept:

Principle of flotation states that a floating object displaces a weight of fluid equal to its own weight.

Answer:

Mass of the boat= 650 kg

Weight of the boat= 650 g N

According to the principle of flotation

weight of the boat=weight of the water displaced

650 g=density of water×volume of water displaced g

we know the density of water=1000 kg/m^{3}

volume of water displaced=\frac{650}{1000} m^{3}

                                            =0.65m^{3}
