A boat`s speed in still water is 20 km/h . If the boat is to travel directly across a river whose current has a speed of 12 km/h, at what upstream angle must the boat head ?

Here velocity of river is wrg is 20kmph And velocity of boat in water is 12kmph. So crossing river in shortest path...sin€=velo of river / velocity of boat =20/12=5/3 As per pythagorus theorem angle = 53 degrees..
