Hey there

Correct Answer:
C) 12 km/h

Description for Correct answer

Let the speed of the current = x km/hr

Speed of the Boat B in still water = 10 km/hr

Speed of the Boat B in downstream = x+10

Speed of the Boat A in still wateer = x+10

Speed of the Boat A in dfownstream = x+10-x = 10 km/hr

According to question,

4010−2410+x=24010−2410+x=2

4−2410+x=24−2410+x=2

10+x=12

x=2

Speed of Boat A in still water = 10+2 = 12 km/hr
____________

Hope this helps you

shravanvannela12: Sir I was already given the speed of the current 2 kmph
shravanvannela12: Total time is 2 hours 24 minutes

time =12/5hrs
s=d/t
let distance xto z be a
downstream speed 10
upstream speed 6

average speed = 2*10*6/(10+6) =7.5
total distance = speed *time
2a= 12/5(15/2)
2a=18
a=9=distance zto x
