Explanation:

Let the distance of the destination be x km.

Speed of boat downstream  =(5+1) km/hr =6 km/hr

Speed of boat upstream =(5−1)=4 km/hr

Then, 6x+4x=1

⇒122x+3x=1

⇒x=512=2.4 km
