(a) 50 ms^{-2} , (b) s =  225 m

Given:

Initial velocity(u) = 0

Final velocity(v) =  150ms^{-1}

Time (t)= 3 sec.

To find : (a) Sled's acceleration(a)

v-u=at

a= \frac{v-u}{t}

a = \frac{150-0}{3}

a= 50 ms^{-2}

Therefore, Sled's acceleration is  50 ms^{-2}

To find : (b) The distance(s) the bobsled team traveled.

We have ,

s = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^{2} (Where s is the distance travelled )

s = 0 + \frac{1}{2}(50)(3^{2})

s =  225 m

Therefore, the distance travelled by the bobsled team is 225 m.
